History was made on 26th May 2005 when Women Members were allowed to vote for the first time at an A.G.M. At this meeting a new Constitution was ratified where the Gawler Bowling Club Inc was to be managed by a Board of Management. Officially there are no longer a "Mens" or "Ladies" Committee. In their place are various Sub-committees for the running of activities around the club. These Sub-committees report directly to one of the Vice Presidents who then bring this information back to the Board of Management.
